FPR have done 2 test days in the break between winton and the upcomming Darwin race, fingers crossed they have now got a handle on the new components they are running and have a better understanding on how to tune it in track to track, A controll cam is also compolsery for all teams at darwin which should fix the horse power advantage of teams like 888, HRT, PMM, an DJR fingers crossed Darwin is the round were Frosty an FP:R can turn the season around an get back to the form we know there capable off

Brian,
What I am about to say needs to be taken in context - "we have had two really good test days that allowed Campbell and the boys to take a major move forward in understanding the new setups".
We have made some changes to the cars as a result of the first test and that then allowed the guys to develop the car again for the second test. The result was better balance, greater consistency and happy drivers......
We all assume this will translate into results at the next few race meetings and we expect that it will. But we also have to remember that we will always try and under promise and over deliver at every opportunity.
We are working hard, really hard - regardless of what some people may say.

Thank you for the reply Mark,
I'm realy looking foward to seeing the Darwin race after the small break,
I am excited by the new direction you guys are taking with campbell on the engeneering side of things and understand it was always going to be a bit of a learning curve with no real refernce to set ups with the new componetry and minimal testing.
Hope to see the boys come out firing at Darwin.
Good luck and i''l see you guys at Surface Paradise @ the Amoroll 600

Hi Mark as long as we are making positive progress there can be no complaints. I wish you all the best for Darwin and look forward to seeing you do well in person at Townsville.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Mark don't know if you have the ear oh Fords motor sport manager but how does it help a team get it together when they start threatening to pull funding? I bleed blue but I am sick to death of ford Australia bashing teams with the threat of less funding. You never here of those red trash carrying on like that and there factory team is not in great form. Maybe show these bozos at Ford Australia this site and how passionate us ford supporters are

G'day Mark. Any chance of a FPR day somewhere in Sydney in the not to distant future ??.
Mark Roworth | 09:05PM - June 14th 2010
Pete,
We have not immediate plans to do a special day in Sydney this year but if there was enough demand we would seriously consider it for 2011.

Mark G,
I can assure you the report from Chris Styring at Ford was not what we wanted to here. Especially after we have had two less than great race events.
What we are happy about is that DJR are going great. We battled hard for them last year to get Ford to allocate funding to them agian in 2010 and beyond. That has happened (as we all know) and after they have won a couple of race meetings they are now the focus of attention.
We must improve our performance and we will. Darwin is the start of that process.
We are the Factory Team and we must perform like it.
Thanks
Mark Roworth (FPR)

Hi there everyone,
All is going well here in Darwin. The cars are going great and we are more confident that the tests over the past weeks have given us an improvement in speed and direction.
Frosty is on pole for race 1 and PD is on 8 and Richo on 26. Not great for Steve but he got badly blocked by Murphy on his green tyre run so there is much more speed in his car than his qualifying position shows.
I hope we bring home another Ford win today.
