what a prick and he was crying about how ford should sponsor djr again and what has that done nothing

what ever happened with how he said quality over quantity well at least now he will be know just as another holden driver not as a ford star as he would have been you would think that he would look at will davidson and ask why is he leaving HRT

Grow some brains Courtney money is not everything

you got that right us ford fans are sick and tired of them leaving ford to go to the enemy i feel sorry for djr they may be the team that helped win the championship for courtney but they dont have a #1 on there car to show for it and they said on the news the other day that now frosty is the #1 ford driver we have but for me hes been the #1 ford driver for years but thats just me

Drivers come and drivers go. Dick Johnson and Allan Moffat have raced Holdens in their careers and Peter Brock and Larry Perkins have raced Fords too.

While I'm disappointed to see JC leave Ford, I can understand why. Car #18 for 2011 has been a question mark until last week, and the 4th car and team at FPR was an unknown entity, as only 2 of the 3 FPR cars have shown pace in 2010. He chose to go with a team that has achieved results rather than a stick with a marque.

Ford didn't do themselves any favours by dropping their financial support for DJR in 2008. That led to Schwerkolt bailing Dick Johnson out, and the infighting about Steve Johnson that followed created uncertainty for 2011.

For mine, the timing just didn't work out. If FPR hadn't already signed Will Davison, FPR could've signed JC for #6 next year. If Alan Gow waited a week while DJR sorted out their dirty laundry, JC may have stayed with DJR. Drivers just don't like playing musical chairs with seats for next year this late in the season, especially drivers at their peak.

As fans, we think with our hearts because our futures aren't riding on the manufacturer or team we follow.

For drivers, they have a career span of between 10-20 years of 'full-time work' if they're any good, so they think with their heads both financially and competitively.

Looking like Moffat into the 18 car for next year. Courtney and DJR go their seperate ways. look for an announcment soon for Courtney to HRT. Is a shame FPR don't get that 4 car team with courtney.

How good would have been to see Frosty, Davison, Dumbrell and Courtney running under the FPR banner!!
