In 2008 Ford made a strategic decision to concentrate its motorsport resources on fewer teams and chose FPR as its primary representative in the V8 Supercar Championship Series.

Alongside the iconic manufacturer, FPR has secured continued support from major blue-chip corporations including FPV, Orrcon Steel, Dunlop Super Dealers, WesTrac CAT, Castrol, The L&H Group, MTAA Super Fund and TEAC as well as new sponsor Western Star Trucks.
