Phil Keed's motor racing career started with his involvement behind the wheel in club level rallying, progressing to work with Colin Bond on his Ford Sierra in the late 80's. After gaining his Engineering degree he headed overseas and first joined Prodrive in 1999 as a customer rally team race engineer. He then joined the Subaru World Rally Team in 2001 as rally engineer for Toshi Arai, Markko Martin and Tommi Makinen before returning to Australia and working with Jason Bright in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series, joining FPR in 2005.
